If you suffer from morning sickness, you probably want to to relieve the discomfort or at least reduce the symptoms. There are some tips that can be more or less efficient depending on the person. You must first avoid taking off the shelf medication because of the dangers they represent to the embryo’s normal development (teratogenic effects). Taking vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) may alleviate the symptoms
It is recommended to reduce your fat intake at breakfast and end that meal with fruit or a fruit juice. You can try to avoid smells or other bothersome factors. Some people keep crackers or toasted bread on their night table to eat before getting up. To fight nausea, it is also recommended to eat several small meals and not drink while eating. Drink liquids between meals.
Fluid intake is very important and you must make sure to fulfill this need. Stress can exacerbate nausea and cause fatigue, poor digestion, back pain, headaches, etc. That is why it is important to rest a lot and set aside some time to relax and practice meditation or yoga (if your physician allows it), for example. Make a habit of going to bed early. Your body needs all the support it can get to carry out its task of developing a new life.
