Tips and advices - 37th week

If you haven’t done it already, you should get ready for your admission to hospital or in a birth home. You can easily find lists of items to bring in your suitcase for you and your baby. It is easier to get ready while you still can than to rush between two contractions.

Make sure to know al the signs of labor (membranes rupture, contractions increasingly regular, numerous and intense). Try to make the difference between actual contractions and Braxton-Hicks contractions. Those are usually painless and more frequent by the end of pregnancy. If your membranes have ruptured, it is important to call your doctor or follow his advices in this regard. If it hasn’t ruptured yet, you should protect your mattress with a waterproof sheet in case it happens during the night.
