Dry nose and nosebleeds could also be caused by a lack of vitamin C. Therefore, it is important to increase your vitamin C intake by eating citrus for example. The fluid increase that your body is experiencing must be maintained. Consequently, it remains important to drink a lot. It is also important to avoid salted food (like delicatessen) that could cause oedema (swelling).

Because of your increased blood volume, you will also need to add more iron to your diet to meet your baby’s needs.
