The basic rule
A very simple rule that makes cleaning and storing easy is to sort your things first. The less you have, the less you need to put away. Throw away broken, outdated or unused things. In doubt, keep the object in a box in a discreet place like a wardrobe or the basement and if you haven’t used it by next year, throw it away.
