Pregnancy/Maternity

Carrying multiples

Childbirth

If you want to, you will most likely be able to give birth to your children naturally, but you will need to meet the necessary conditions, and which can change depending on where you decide to give birth and on your chosen doctor. Conditions most often encountered are:

  • You must deliver very close to your due date.
  • The first baby must be in the head down position
  • The second baby must weigh less, the same or nearly the same as the first baby
  • No complications during pregnancy or childbirth
  • No fetal distress
  • No c-section during the 18 to 24 months preceding the birth
Life with multiples

You probably imagine yourself completely overwhelmed and not knowing what to do first. While it’s true you will have to go through an adjustment period, the time you learn how to breastfeed two babies at the same time or how to soothe two screaming babies, time will do wonders and you’ll get the hang of it by developing your own tricks. Stay well surrounded during this period so you can get the help you need. Your load will seem heavier, your bills endless, but ultimately, you will see that that is not the only thing that has grown exponentially: so will your heart!

If you are pregnant with more than two children, you are eligible to receive the grant for Multiple Births: financial support for parents of triplets or quadruplets.

My child is often absentminded!

Do you find yourself often repeating phrases like "Hello? Is anyone there?" ? If so, it seems that your child is often absentminded. Here's how to help your distracted children stay concentrated.

A teenager’s bedroom

Your teenager's bedroom is a disaster. You even invented new words to describe this horrendous place where food and clothes seem to blend into a new kind of carpet but your child doesn't seem to mind. What can you do?

My child is smelly!

Your child is now 6 years old. The innocence of childhood still shines brightly in his or her eyes but… they're smelly! When your child gets hot, you scrunch your nose and smell a tinge of sweat. Are they too young for deodorant?
