Activities

7 days of activities with mommy

Cupcakes

Classic! Because you only have a bit of time, prepare the cakes in advance and place your tools, icing (pink, white, blue…), candies and sparkle gel (to write names, draw hearts, etc.) on the table. Your dessert will be even more delicious knowing that you made it together.

Scrapbooking

Your child likes to hear stories about his birth, his first bottle, his first tooth… and he likes to draw. Put this all together and what do you get? Scrapbooking! Your child will revisit his early childhood and when he gets older, he will remember these lovely moments spent with his mom.

Salt dough

Mix one portion of salt to two portions of flour and add a bit of coloured water to obtain salt dough. Make jewels, figurines, frames or containers. You can also take your footprints! Let it dry for 24 hours and varnish it. If you don’t like to wait, cook the dough at 100 degrees for 3 hours.

Spa

Play spa with your kids! Take a bubble bath of foot bath, massage them with moisturizer, use the spa if you have one, use nail polish with your daughter, make a chocolate mask… In short, pamper yourselves while talking about your day…

Giant Tic-Tac-Toe

You are buried under tons of Teddy Bears, dolls and stuffed rabbits? Draw a duct tape Tic-Tac-Toe on the floor and choose a team of 5 bears, frogs, dolls, rabbits or figurines each to move on your giant Tic-Tac-Toe.

Blanket fort

Build a blanket fort using chairs and… blankets. Comfortably settle in your fort with a flashlight, cushions, books and juice and relax… You can also build the fort outdoors with waterproof material and listen to the rain in your new shelter.

House of cards

Everybody knows it; a mother is an example of gentleness and patience (*cough cough*) On rainy days, build houses of cards with your children. In addition to spending time with your child, you will teach him to be calm and delicate and to manage frustrations by laughing together when you fail.

This week
Ear infections, antibiotics, and prevention

Becoming a parent also means being acquainted with several small infections encountered during our own childhood. Ear infections are numerous and can leave you having lots of questions. We try to respond to the most frequent ones.

My child is often absentminded!

Do you find yourself often repeating phrases like "Hello? Is anyone there?" ? If so, it seems that your child is often absentminded. Here's how to help your distracted children stay concentrated.

A teenager’s bedroom

Your teenager's bedroom is a disaster. You even invented new words to describe this horrendous place where food and clothes seem to blend into a new kind of carpet but your child doesn't seem to mind. What can you do?

My child is smelly!

Your child is now 6 years old. The innocence of childhood still shines brightly in his or her eyes but… they're smelly! When your child gets hot, you scrunch your nose and smell a tinge of sweat. Are they too young for deodorant?
