Prominent ears
Prominent ears don't cause hearing problems and the reasons for undergoing cosmetic surgery are purely esthetical. Depending on the severity of the problem, children who have prominent ears that stick-out may experience bullying develop low self-esteem or be rejected by their peers. Some parents choose to operate as soon as possible to avoid potential negative consequences while other parents prefer waiting untill their child makes the decision for himself.
