My son is 13 years old and he is having difficulty seeing what the teacher writes on the blackboard in school. I took him to for an eye exam and he was diagnosed with myopia eye condition. The optometrist whom we consulted in Toronto said that my son is going to need glasses. This is worrying me a lot since both my husband and me have normal eyesight. I thought that myopia was hereditary. I don't want my son to look ugly with glasses at this small age and other kids make fun of him.
Do you have a child with severe myopia? How did child cope? Did it restrict the physical activities they did? Please share your thoughts.

Sorry to hear that your son needs glasses in this age, but presently a problem of vision occurs at any age. So, you do not worry about your son. I think by wearing glasses one cannot look ugly, more than this some people wear glasses as a fashion statement. So, you can buy wholesale reading glasses frames for your son from the useful sites that are available on the Internet, selling sunglasses in bulk.
