Electric bike for my son

Hey,
My son is 15 years old. He is asking me to buy an electric bike for him. I haven't tried any electric bike yet, so I have no idea about how to choose one, and which one would be better for him! I have gone through the sites of a few reputed electric bike companies and found different types of electric bikes like folding electric bike, full suspension electric bike etc. But I'm in confusion to choose one. I read that weight plays an important role in how an electric bike suits in your life. I think heavier bikes would be harder to lift and will hurt more if they fall. Moreover, it will be a difficult task for my son to walk with the bike home after getting a flat tire or running out of battery. Another big consideration for buying an electric bike is storage. But I admire that electric bikes are good for the environment, and it is more healthy to ride. Can someone help me to choose the right electric bike? What is the best electric bike to buy? I'm here to know more about this, especially from people who own an electric bike. I would be grateful for your thoughts on this.
