The 5 best moms ever!

The DIY mom

She can build anything out of nothing. She is the one who can create an amazing dragon using an old newspaper and some paint. She can also reuse your old tires and turn them into chairs and she can decorate the whole house for your child’s birthday without busting your budget.

Why do we love her so much? Because she always has good ideas and makes us think creatively. She gives us occasions to play with our kids and she is too busy sharing her latest creations to waste her time arguing online.

The empathetic mom

This mom is never too tired to listen to your sad stories. She shows you that she is listening. She understands what you are going through, she finds solutions, sends you useful links and tries to see how you could make tomorrow a brand new day. She has a perfect shoulder to cry on and she intends to use it.

Why do we love her so much? Because she never tires of listening to you and never expects anything in return. You don’t feel like you are annoying her and that’s because she thinks of something else as soon as you are done talking, not because she doesn’t care but because that’s the only way she will keep listening to everyone’s troubles without feeling depressed.

The cheesy mom

She’s happy and Zen. She loves cats and rabbits and she takes the most beautiful pictures of her children. She always finds beauty in everything that you do and that’s not to make you happy, she genuinely appreciates everything, no matter how cheesy it is.

Why do we love her so much? Because the cheesy mom is harmless. She doesn’t judge, hate or lie and she never tries to decide when something is overdone. She enjoys every day as if it was her last and although she can be too sweet at times, you can’t really judge her for enjoying the little things in life.

The mom who is just passing by

She is neutral. She answers your questions and then she leaves. Like a busy bee, she reads everything, everywhere without getting involved emotionally. She replies when she is absolutely sure of the answer and gives her opinion now and again, only when she thinks that we are truly wrong.

Why do we love her so much? Because her opinion matters. She represents the crowd, the people that we know less. She tells the truth because she has nothing to loose and she will leave right away. Without these moms, Facebook pages and forums would be either deserted or filled with the same people giving the same opinion over and over again. She is our referee, our barometer and her calm helps us think things through and make better decisions.

The overwhelmed mom!

Not to be confused with a mom who is going through a rough patch, this extroverted mom can never believe what is happening to her. When she spills water, she always spills more water than everyone! For her, every day is an incredible and fascinating adventure and when she tells you her stories, you will feel like you are watching a movie.

Why do we love her so much? Because she helps us see things differently. With her, life is always amazing. It is because of this kind of mom that we see our misadventures as chapters of our lives. Usually, you would be really mad but when you know that kind of mom, you are always eager to tell everyone what happened when a stranger helped you change a flat tire on the highway.

Ear infections, antibiotics, and prevention

Becoming a parent also means being acquainted with several small infections encountered during our own childhood. Ear infections are numerous and can leave you having lots of questions. We try to respond to the most frequent ones.

My child is often absentminded!

Do you find yourself often repeating phrases like "Hello? Is anyone there?" ? If so, it seems that your child is often absentminded. Here's how to help your distracted children stay concentrated.

A teenager’s bedroom

Your teenager's bedroom is a disaster. You even invented new words to describe this horrendous place where food and clothes seem to blend into a new kind of carpet but your child doesn't seem to mind. What can you do?

My child is smelly!

Your child is now 6 years old. The innocence of childhood still shines brightly in his or her eyes but… they're smelly! When your child gets hot, you scrunch your nose and smell a tinge of sweat. Are they too young for deodorant?
