Choosing a good sunscreen

During the summer, we spend a lot of time outside and we are constantly exposed to the sun’s harmful rays. Here is a list of our favorite sunscreens to protect the whole family!

Coppertone

Coppertone has created a new sunscreen made for children that offers a fun new formula: a foam sunscreen that offer SPF 60 protection and is mild, not irritating and fragrance-free in addition to leaving the skin soft thanks to its moisturizing properties.

Biotherm

Biotherm sunscreen lotions with a light citrus scent are available in three degrees of protection: SPF 15, SPF 30 and SPF 50 for sensitive skins. Biotherm also offers an after-sun product we love: the Oligo Thermal sparkling cream which smells wonderful, moisturizes the skin and leaves it soft and shimmering!

La Roche-Posay

The Anthelios product range by La Roche-Posay is made with Mexoryl, the most recommended sunscreen agent by dermatologists in Canada and which provides advanced protection against UVA and UVB rays. You can find the Anthelios sunscreens in different forms: lotions, creams, sprays and sticks. A velvety lotion for children is also available to protect their fragile skin.

Personnelle

The Jean-Coutu home brand offers an affordable sun protection choice that is easy to apply, leaves the skin soft and moisturized for the whole family. The formula is unscented and protects against UVA and UVB rays.

Aveeno

Quebec families already know Aveeno moisturizing creams and soaps that are made with oatmeal, which is known for its moisturizing properties. Aveeno also offers a range of sunscreen lotions for the face and the body that offer a protection of SPF 30 or SPF 55 for babies and sensitive skins.

Ombrelle

The Ombrelle sunscreen by Loreal is unscented, makes the skin soft without leaving it greasy and you can apply it easily to provide excellent protection against UVA and UVB rays. The cream is waterproof so kids can have fun in the pool without worrying about getting sunburnt!
